Pile Load Tests

Static vertical load tests up to 5000 t, bi-directional up to 12000 t, lateral, cyclic, pull-out and plate load tests.

Overview

Pile Load Tests at SRGPL

Load testing is where SRGPL earned the name Load Test Titans. We have tested piles for metros, bridges, freight corridors, expressways and nuclear facilities, including the 3500 t prototype pile on the Zuari Bridge in Goa.

Our crews mobilise reaction systems, hydraulic jacks, calibrated load cells and data loggers for onshore and offshore piles, and report load-settlement behaviour against the design requirements.

How we run a load test

Our own reaction systems

In-house pile load test set-ups and our own crown girder for tests up to 3000 tons, so mobilisation does not wait on hired kentledge.

Calibrated jacks and load cells

Hydraulic jacks and load cells are checked for efficiency and deviation before they go to site.

Static, dynamic or bi-directional

We match the method to the pile, the site and the programme, from routine piles to prototype test piles.

Clear reporting

Load–settlement curves and interpretation against the design load, issued under our NABL accreditation (Certificate No. TC-12577) for tests within our scope of accreditation.
