SPT Energy Monitoring Test
Measures hammer energy transfer to establish reliable N60 values, using Allnamics equipment and software.
Overview
SPT Energy Monitoring at SRGPL
The Standard Penetration Test (SPT) is a widely used soil exploration tool. An SPT hammer drives a drill string with a split-barrel sampler attached at the bottom, and the sampler recovers soil from the bottom of the borehole once it has been advanced to the sampling depth. The number of blows needed to drive the final 300 mm at a given depth is the N-value, or standard penetration resistance, which can be correlated to soil strength.
We use SPT energy monitoring equipment and software by Allnamics.

Benefits of SPT energy monitoring
3 items- 01Improves the reliability of the SPT measured N-values
- 02Measures energy transferred by the SPT hammer to the SPT rod
- 03Establishes N60 values for foundation design
